Principal's Message

Woman with dogAugust 2024

Dear Elden Community,

I am thrilled to join you as the new principal of Elden. I can’t wait to get to know all of you and want to take this opportunity to share a little about myself.

I grew up in Baldwinsville, attending Elden and Reynolds elementary schools before graduating from C.W. Baker High School. I taught at both Palmer Elementary School and Ray Middle School, and later completed my administrative internship at Elden and Ray. My journey then took me to Roxboro Road Middle School in the North Syracuse Central School District as an associate principal. Now, I’m excited to return to Elden!

I 3 childrenlive in Baldwinsville with my husband and three kids – Bianca, Sonny, and Luca – who are entering 1st, 7th, and 10th grade. They keep us busy with their activities, including lacrosse, basketball, and dance. Our family dog, Reddi, is a certified therapy dog. She and I volunteer at the Baldwinsville Public Library, and she will join us at Elden too! If you ever want to “read with Reddi,” visit us on Thursdays this summer at Mercer Park and certain Saturdays in the fall!

As principal of Elden, I aim to help maintain a culture of collaboration where all families feel welcome as valued members of the Elden community. I will strive to include families in decisions and seek input through the use of Thought Exchange, Google Forms, and more. It is my genuine hope for Elden to be a community where strong relationships thrive and all members feel heard, valued, and inspired to excel. To that end, I encourage you to reach out to me at jfiorini@bville.org or (315) 638-6118 should you have any questions.

I look forward to meeting everyone at our Chalk-the-Walk/Meet the New Principal Night on September 3 and Elden Curriculum Night on September 10.

See you soon!

Joelle Fiorini
