Elden Updates
What a great first week back! It was wonderful to see our Eagles again after a two week break. The smiles as students walked in were simply the best. Plus we had a surprise day off - who doesn't love snow day!

I want to take a moment to congratulate our Elden Lego League team on a job well done this Saturday. They participated in the competition at Ray against students from other schools and districts. Way to go Eagles!

This week there will be a Community Cafe at Baker on Wednesday at 6:00pm. Join us to discuss the topic of graduation measures if you are available.

Have a great week Elden!

Word of the Day Slide
Elden Word of the Day
We implemented a "word of the day" here at Elden, because we recognize the important role that vocabulary can play in learning to read. Each day, one new vocabulary word will be shared with the entire school via our morning announcements.

Here are our vocabulary words for this week:
January 13: sly
January 14: industrial
January 15: discipline
January 16: circumstance
January 17: strenuous

Elden Notice Picture
Elden Notice to School
Please remember to complete the Elden Notice to School to keep us informed of student absences, late arrivals, and dismissal changes.

It is especially important that we know if your student(s) will be picked up as students being picked up need to be in the APR ready to go by 3:00. The earlier you can submit these changes to us the smoother everything runs.

Thank you!

Positivity Project
This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Prudence. Prudence means you plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.

Prudence is about doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons. It's a way of thinking ahead, setting goals, making plans, and having the discipline to follow through. It’s more about using your head than your heart.

Prudence helps with managing yourself effectively. Whether aiming for a sports record, getting good grades, or saving for something special, you need to plan ahead and stay focused. Even with a plan, you must resist temptations that might distract you. Prudence gives you the wisdom to use the right strengths at the right time to achieve your goals.
