Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
The overwhelming outpouring of support that we received this weekend to assist our eight students and all those impacted in the New Legacy Apartment fire is a true reflection of the character of this community. Thank you to everyone who dropped off donations and volunteered during our drive. This is such an amazing and generous community. Thank you!
We launched the donation drive to help our district families displaced by the fire and we received enough donations to assist all those impacted by the fire and more! We have teamed up with the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center to help coordinate our efforts to get supplies to the families in need. We are so grateful for their help and expertise in this initiative. All items collected will be sorted and offered to the victims of the fire. Remaining items will go to those in need within our community.
The Baldwinsville Volunteer Center will be announcing plans on their Facebook page and website soon on how to make monetary donations, how to donate gift cards and how to volunteer to help. We are no longer collecting donations of new or used items.
Thank you again to everyone for showing why our Hive is such an incredible place. Go Bees!
Sincerely,
Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
Superintendent of Schools
