Elden Updates

Good Morning Elden Families!

Last week we had our district-wide P2 Spirit Week. It was so much fun! My favorite had to be mismatch day. :) You can see our students "dressed to impress" and wearing green for Jeremiah pictured above and below.

We also had a very productive PTA meeting on Tuesday evening. We discussed upcoming events including the spring book fair, BINGO night, and final fundraisers. Keep an eye on my newsletters as well as our PTA page for more information. Our next PTA meeting in April will be the last one at Sky Zone. Be sure to join us!

I hope all of our Eagles are enjoying the long weekend! Please tell them we cannot wait to have them back tomorrow for another great week at Elden.

It's Not Too Late To Give Us Your Feedback!

We are using ThoughtExchange and the linked survey below to gather feedback from the Elden community to help us identify our strengths and areas for growth.

The survey closes at the end of the day today, 3.31.25, so it is not too late to share your feedback with us!

The survey is expected to take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring success for all students. We appreciate your feedback as we work together to improve our school!

Elden Word of the Day

We implemented a "word of the day" here at Elden, because we recognize the important role that vocabulary can play in learning to read. Each day, one new vocabulary word will be shared with the entire school via our morning announcements.

Here are our vocabulary words for this week:

March 31: fatigue
April 1: deflect
April 2: rendezvous
April 3: trendy
April 4: copious

Positivity Project

This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Humor. Humor means enjoying laughter and bringing smiles to others.

Humor helps us see the lighter side of things, making tough times easier and more fun. It doesn't mean you have to tell jokes, but people with humor often notice the funny moments in life and share them with others. Humor can lift people's spirits and help them through challenges. It’s important to help students understand how to use humor in a kind way, to lift others up, and never at someone else's expense.

To practice and encourage the character strength of humor at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Thank you for your support!
