Elden Updates

Good Morning,

What a busy and exciting week we had last week! From a fifth-grade fundraising event and two field trips to a special visit from the Rotary Club for our third graders and our Spring Concert—it was full of memorable moments.

Please join me in congratulating our amazing Elden Chorus and Band students on a fantastic performance at the Spring Concert! Everyone did a wonderful job. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our talented music staff—Mrs. Kahl, our chorus director, and Mr. Bennett, our band director—for their hard work and dedication.

This week brings more exciting events! On Monday, we celebrate our annual Special Champions Event—best of luck to all of our Eagles participating. We’re also looking forward to two Creativity Club performances: students will perform for families on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m., and again for students and staff during the school day on Friday. Break a leg to all our performers!

Enjoy the week Elden!

Thank You!

Our Fifth Grade Moving up Committee would like to thank everyone who came out to support their Lock 24 Ice Cream Fundraising Event. It was a lot of fun and very delicious!

If anyone is interested in supporting the 5th grade moving up day celebration, you can visit this link to donate items. *Any donated items can be dropped off to Elden marked "Elden PTA."

Elden Word of the Day

We implemented a "word of the day" here at Elden, because we recognize the important role that vocabulary can play in learning to read. Each day, one new vocabulary word will be shared with the entire school via our morning announcements.

Here are our vocabulary words for this week:

May 19: benefit
May 20: chapter
May 21: establish
May 22: fundamental
May 23: maintain

Information Request for Next Year

Believe it or not, we are already starting to plan for next year.

If you know that your student(s) will NOT be returning to Elden, please complete this form for us.

If you student(s) are returning to Elden, no further action is necessary. Thank you!

Positivity Project

This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Kindness. Kindness means being generous to others, never being too busy to help out, and you enjoy doing good deeds for other people.

Kindness is based on the belief that everyone deserves care, attention, and compassion. Kind people think about others' needs and feelings and take action to help. They are selfless, helping others because it's the right thing to do, not for any personal gain.

People who are kind have a strong sense of duty to care for others. Their acts of kindness inspire more kindness in return.
