Dear Elden Students, Families, and Staff:

Last week was a special one at Elden. We celebrated Daffodil Day on Thursday, March 19th. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised over $400 to donate to the Pulmonary Clinic at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in remembrance of Reese Fadden.

In addition, report cards were published to SchoolTool on Friday. We encourage you to take time to review your child’s progress and reach out with any questions.

As we head into this week, we are looking forward to a full week of learning and connection before Spring Break. As a reminder, March 29th is the last day to order your Elden Yearbook!

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need anything at all.

Lindsay Ellis, Attendance Secretary

My name is Lindsay Ellis and this is my second year at Elden as Attendance Secretary in the main office. I'm beyond appreciative to the entire Elden community for welcoming me with open arms, kindness, and patience as I've learned this role! Meeting and conversing with students, connecting whose family and friends belong to whom and joking with my coworkers has been such a pleasure.

Outside of work, I'm an avid reader and love doing anything outdoors. My husband, 2 kids (also proud Elden Eagles!) and I have a passion for camping and exploring state parks. New York holds so much beauty!

If we haven't met yet, stop by the office to say hi! I'm excited for the relationships I get to build with our Eagles and their loved ones.

The Positivity Project:

P2

P2 Weekly Character Traits

This week, our school community will focus on the Other People Mindset of Cheering Others’ Successes. This means when someone else does well, we are happy for them and show our support.

It's normal to sometimes feel jealous or envious when others succeed, but learning to genuinely celebrate their accomplishments can improve our own happiness and relationships. Supporting others not only helps them feel good but also strengthens our community and creates a positive environment.

Encouraging your child to be happy for others can start with simple actions, such as congratulating a friend, noticing feelings of envy and asking why, or learning from others’ successes. These steps build a supportive culture in families, teams, schools, and communities.
